E.Shaver Booksellers Website Redesign
A project with the challenge of redesigning a local Savannah business’ website. We took the original and reworked it to be more user friendly and accessible, as well as follow more typical online bookstore conventions.

Myself and my group were assigned the task of redesigning a small business’ website - we had chosen E. Shaver Booksellers due to their unconventional design. The goal was to redesign three pages from their site to improve the overall layout.
There were a myriad of issues, including inconsistent layout, repeating functions, lack of visual feedback, and an overall confusing visual hierarchy. Me and my team decided to tackle this challenge in the hopes of creating a better layout for the website.
Prototype
First, we began the wireframing process. We wanted to create a basic version that could help us visualize the vision we had for the website. We drew from other, more popular websites for reference and inspiration throughout our process, refining the layout through user testing and feedback.
Once our wireframes were satisfactory and the flow of the website was proving to be working better, we began to implement visual appeal and create a higher-fidelity mockup. It was here that everything began to tie together. We drew from the bookstore’s homey, cat vibes, but made sure to include the iconic blue drawn from their door.
Execution
This process was repeated across three separate site pages - you can find the final showcase video here!
